The Hotel Management Lab at Siddhartha Secondary School is a dedicated space designed to provide students with practical experience in various aspects of the hospitality industry. The lab is fully equipped with the tools and facilities required to simulate a real-world hotel environment, allowing students to gain hands-on skills in areas like culinary arts, front office management, housekeeping, and food and beverage service. The kitchen area is fitted with modern appliances such as ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and professional-grade utensils, enabling students to practice cooking and baking techniques. There are also stations for learning about table setting, menu planning, and serving etiquette, reflecting industry standards.
The lab operates according to a scheduled routine, with students attending practical sessions that align with their theoretical classes. These sessions are designed to cover all key areas of hotel management, from preparing and presenting food to managing guest services and handling hospitality software. The focus is on experiential learning, where students practice real-life scenarios they might encounter in a hotel setting. This includes mock restaurant setups, front desk operations, and even housekeeping tasks, allowing them to get a comprehensive view of the industry.

Students are provided with a separate hotel management lab manual or logbook in which they record the details of their practical activities. This book includes sections for recipes, service techniques, and notes on different management practices. By documenting their work, students can track their progress and reflect on their learning. This approach ensures they not only gain practical skills but also develop an understanding of the underlying principles of hotel management.

The Hotel Management Lab at Siddhartha Secondary School aims to equip students with the technical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the hospitality industry, making them well-prepared for future careers in hotel management or related fields.
