Our Journey
Founding Years: [2051 BS] - [2055 BS]
In this context, the establishment of this school was done considering the local needs in Khorasane, Ghimire Tol, Ward No. 1 of the then Indrapur VDC in Morang district. In the year 2051 BS (1994 AD), permission was obtained from the then Indrapur VDC, and Mr. Raju Basnet, Mr. Maniram Dhungana, Mr. Udav Basnet, and Mr. Arun Basnet, a resident of Darjeeling, started operating the school by renting a house located east of the road belonging to local resident Mr. Tank Bahadur Ghimire. The school began with a gathering of 29 children of school-going age, some of whom were studying in other schools. During the establishment period, Ms. Yashoda Shrestha and Ms. Indira Thapa served as teachers for a long time. The rooms of the two-story house made of wood and bamboo were converted into an office and classrooms. From January, Mr. Arjun Basnet, a resident of Inaruwa, Sunsari, was added as the operator of the school, starting from the month of Kartik (October-November). As other operators gradually handed over responsibilities to him, he ultimately became the sole operator of the school. Under his able leadership, the school progressed. At that time, due to some corrective measures, including strictness in student learning and discipline, parents' trust in the school increased. There was a growing interest in the English language in the community. The school gained rapid popularity due to the arrangement of teachers proficient in the English language. The number of students coming from far-off places, despite having schools nearby, began to increase. Students started arriving in significant numbers from places like Lalbhitthi, Siraan, Baghjhora, Biratchowk, and Triveni Chowk. Many students from distant locations also began to study either within the school or near the school, either through their own arrangements or those of their parents. This trend of students from far-off areas (Kerabari, Hoklabari, Letang) studying in this manner continued for a long time. The support from local elders at that time also facilitated the school’s growth. The direct and indirect support of the then VDC chairperson Mr. Chandrabahadur Gurung, as well as the contributions of the then ward chairperson Ganesh Khadka and subsequent ward chairpersons like Tarabir Ghimire, are notable. Local figures such as Tank Bahadur Ghimire, Ramchandra Ghimire, Chand Ghimire, Mohan Ghimire, Devendra Maske, Hem Bahadur Ghimire, Prem Bahadur Ghimire, Durg Bahadur Ghimire, Nirmala Rai, Tulsi Jung Karki, Surya Thapa, Rudra Bahadur Karki, Devaraj Ghimire, Navin Guragain, Ganesh Dhakal, Gopal Dhakal, Bhavindra Kesi, Gajendra Pradhan, Shobhitman Basnet, Ganesh Shrestha, Viren Gurung, Krishna Dahal, Uma Gurung, Kumar Shrestha, Kumar Rai, Jasomati Rai, Prarthana Rai, Satrajit Majhi, and from the Lalbhitthi area, Laxmi Prasad Chamlagai, Chetanath Dulal, Tulsi Ram Puri, Homanath Dulal, from the Triveni area Prem Rai, Tank Rai, Hirakumar Bhujel, Purn Bahadur Thapa, Mahendra Karki, and from Biratchowk, Priscilla Rai, Suraj Sah, among many others, contributed to the school by sending their children and encouraging relatives and neighbors to do the same. Pradeep Shrestha from Lalbhitthi also contributed by donating fans to protect the children from the summer heat. Many of them have continued to be involved with the school in some capacity as parents even as the school celebrates its silver jubilee.
Expansion and Growth: [2055 BS] - [2080]
Since the beginning, the school has been providing not only academic education but also training in dance, karate, and music, encouraging students to perform on stage, thus attracting many students and parents. Additionally, the school’s reputation grew as it organized various programs at different times, showcasing the abilities and talents of the students. Due to the increasing attraction from students and the rise in classes, the school building became cramped, prompting a transfer to Mr. Ramchandra Ghimire's house to the south in the year 2054 BS (1997 AD). With skilled management and a dedicated group of teachers, the school continued to progress. This building was much larger and had a spacious field compared to the previous one, allowing the school to operate for many years. While in that building, the school received government recognition and gained legal status. In 2063 BS (2006 AD), Mr. Nagendra Suvedi, along with his wife Ranjoo Suvedi and Dinanath Suvedi, contributed to the stability of the school by selling land at a reasonable price. After moving to the new location, the school gradually constructed a larger and permanent building, progressing with new and modern methods of quality education. After relocating to this building, the school started enrolling a respectable number of students for the SLC examination from 2061 BS (2004 AD). The results of the school's SLC exams have always been commendable, and the results of the SEE exams have maintained that standard as well. In the SLC exam of 2071 BS (2014 AD), student Anjali Chapagai made history by topping the Eastern region. In the SEE exam of 2075 BS (2018 AD), student Kapil Sharma topped the municipality, continuing the school’s pride. The school has maintained a record of 100% pass rates, ensuring excellence in the results of students from SLC to SEE each year. From the year 2072 BS (2015 AD), the school has been offering classes 11 and 12 in the management faculty with attractive subjects, providing relief to students and parents from the need to seek distant and expensive education. The results for classes 11 and 12 have also continued to uphold the school’s proud history.
